Club work day & ride on December 3rd

Hey everyone!

The Holler Crawlers will be having a club day on Saturday, December 3rd. We will meet at Martys ATV Oasis on the Colmar side of the park at 10 AM. If you need directions, just email hollercrawlers@hotmail.com

The day will consist of a small amount of club where the club will be repairing a shelter near the Colmar parking area first. This shouldnt take very long, an hour or two at tops. After that, we will be cooking out and then riding for a while.

You do not have to be a member to come and ride. It will be a great time, so please come out and check out the club! Thanks and hope to see everyone there!

November meeting date moved up, HF Review, pics update

Howdy everyone!

First, let me go ahead and announce that our November meeting is now scheduled for Wednesday, November 9th, at 7:00 PM on the second floor of the old Pineville Courthouse. It was originally scheduled for the 8th at 6:00 but since that is election day, we decided to have the meeting the following day, and an hour later in hopes that a lot of folks that aren’t usually able to attend our meetings can be there. We will be discussing all the going’s on at the Haunted Forest Ride a few weeks ago, and will start talking about the upcoming year. We hope that we see some new faces who can help us with rides planned in the future.

Next, we obviously want to thank everyone who came out to this years Haunted Forest Ride on October 22nd. All that we can say is WOW!!! With between 4-5,000 people and well over 2,000 ATVs and side x sides, we were completely blown away with the turn out. This event is something that our club gets excited about every year and every single year we make a renewed commitment to make the next one even bigger and better than the last.

The Haunted Forest Ride turnout went from around 400 in 2009, to over 1,500 last year, and this years turn out of over 4,000 was nothing short of astounding. Our club worked hard all year long completely focused on this one event and it paid off. We are proud to be able to be able to host a free event on an ATV park with free riding so that everyone, of all ages, can come out and enjoy both the Halloween festivities and the beautiful southeast Kentucky scenery, weather, and riding.

At our upcoming meetings we will be addressing both this years event and try to lay a general outline of next years event (including setting a date for the Haunted Forest Ride event).

This year we could have easily broken the Guiness World Record for the number of ATVs in a parade. Next year we officially intend on doing so, so we need everyone’s help in coming back next year! Not only that, but we intend on having a ton of new suprises, as well. We also hope to have added many new miles of wooded, more challenging trails to the park. Check back soon for the date for the 2012 version of the ride so you can go ahead and mark your calendar!

We are in the process of collecting pictures and videos from the day and posting them in the MEDIA link, and we hope to have that within the next week! In the mean time, here’s a few youtube videos from pdad2003 and dixiecop28 respectively.
