Hey everyone, our club web forum is back up and running! You can visit it by clicking the FORUM link above. If you’ve not registered, its free and just takes a second. On our forum we discuss ride reviews, post videos, talk tech tips and talk about club business. Club members also have access to the Members Only forum as well.

Also, we have a guided ride scheduled for January 19th. The ride will leave from Middlesboro McDonalds on Hwy 25E at 9:00 AM sharp. Our guide Gary posted the information below regarding it:

Meet at Mc Donald’s in Middlesboro at 9am. We will leave there at 9:01am so be on time.

Ride location will depend on the size and make up of the group. I personally know about 8-10 different areas to ride. We will ride about 40-50 mile total.

Helmets are HIGHLY suggested!!!!!!

Please no alcohol on this ride

Time for membership renewals!

Hey everyone, its that time of the year again! You can now renew your membership for the 2013 calendar year. Or, if you’ve never joined the club, now is a great time to see what we’re all about. In 2012 we had our best year, with the club growing to over 500 strong. We hope that we will continue that upward trend in 2013!

We’re a group with members not only from all over southeast Kentucky, but all over the country. Most members ride ATVs and side x sides, but we have a few with dirt bikes and Jeeps/trucks as well, and hope to increase those two factions in the coming year. We do guided rides several times throughout the year…most of which are open to everyone (non-members included) but several that are for members only.

The biggest benefit to joining the club is the friendships you make. Plus, new friends know new trails, so learning new trails is always a great benefit too. Also, we have a long list of businesses; especially local ATV shops such as Tommy’s Motorsports in Middlesboro, Bobby’s Cycle Works in Arthur TN, and Corbin Motorsports in Corbin, KY just to name a few that offer discounts to club members. Plus, your membership dues go only to club related costs (events, club merchandise, etc…).

Membership is only $15 a year for an individual and $25 for a family. If you are active duty military or a veteran of any branch, membership is only $5.

We’d love to have you and yours as members of what we like to call HC Nation…the biggest ATV club in the Commonwealth of Kentucky with members from all over this great nation. Come see how we do it down here…STRAIGHT OUT THE HOLLER.

You can download a memebership form by clicking the INFO link above.

Meeting rescheduled / forum issues

Hey everyone, our December club meeting has been rescheduled. Instead of being tomorrow, it will be held Thursday, December 13th at 6 PM on the 3rd floor of the old Pineville courthouse. Hope everyone can make it!

Also, we are aware the forum is down right now. We are working on a fix for it. Thanks.

Notes about this Saturdays rides

Video below is some scenes of the 90 miler that we did earlier this year…

The weather is still looking great at 62 and sunny. But remember we’ll be leaving in the morning and getting back after dark on the 90 miler. The low is around 40 so have warmer clothes that you can peel off if needed. Just a heads up!

Also, one general rule of thumb when riding in a larger group is when you come to a trail intersection, make sure the person behind you is within sight. This ensures no one gets lost or left behind. Our club has never left anyone in the woods or lost anyone because we usually tell people this before every ride.

For those going on the 90 miler this Saturday…since there are some technical spots in it and its a long ride…please refrain from bringing children or inexperienced riders on this one. Please bring extra gas and food if you can (there is a gas station but it only has one pump and the wait can get pretty long).

The 40 miler that is meeting at Wal-Mart in Middlesboro at 8:30 AM should be more kid/new rider friendly. Also, since its a long ride through the middle of nowhere, please make sure your machines are in good working condition. Doing a little prep and doing a quick machine look over can save you from a breakdown a lot of times.

Thanks and see everyone Saturday at 9 AM at Big Lots/Goodys parking lot on Hwy 25E in Middlesboro at 9 AM for the 90 miler, or a 8:30 AM in the Middlesboro Wal-Mart which is also on Hwy 25E. Let’s ride!
